Sanders, senator for the state of Vermont, has pronounced this Sunday on the first space flight of British billionaire Richard Branson aboard the SpaceShipTwo VSS Unity, developed by his space tourism company Virgin Galactic.
The politician, who is also a millionaire, wrote on his Twitter account that “here on Earth, in the richest country on the planet, half of our people live from paycheck to paycheck, people are fighting to feed themselves, fighting for see a doctor. ” Meanwhile, “the richest guys in the world are in outer space,” he denounced.
“Yes. It is time to tax billionaires,” stressed the senator.
