The tests were carried out last Friday, March 13, on a group of live quails, after 1,500 of a total of 15,000 of these birds died suspiciously on March 9.

According to the Philippine Secretary of Agriculture, once the detection was carried out, a protocol was implemented to control and contain the spread of the highly pathogenic disease that can infect humans, for which 12 thousand quails were slaughtered and buried in the past Saturday, March 14.
